About
New York Life
Our
promise? To work with you to build a strong financial future.
We
have always believed in helping people like you, families like yours, and
businesses of all kinds create, protect, and preserve their financial security.
Since 1845, we’ve been doing just that—making sure our customers are prepared
for whatever life has in store and that we will be there to help them face the
future with confidence.
We’re
a lot like the clients we serve. Each of us is working hard to meet life’s
responsibilities and build our own futures. Funding retirement? Looking after
aging parents? Dealing with the death of a family member? We’ve been there, and
we’ve persevered through the toughest of times. So when we work with you, we
appreciate that we are being trusted with your most important assets: your
family and your business. We take that responsibility seriously. For more than
167 years, we’ve kept every promise we’ve made to our customers. That’s simply
a fact.
We
invite you to explore the depth of that commitment: Talk to your friends and
neighbors—many of them may be our customers. Talk to anyone who’s worked at New
York Life. Join the conversation on our Facebook page. Tour our website. Read
what A.M. Best, Fitch, Moody’s, and Standard & Poor’s have to say when they
consistently give us the highest possible financial strength ratings currently
awarded to any life insurer. We’re honored by the trust that millions have in
our company, and by the fact that we have earned the steady, ongoing loyalty of
families coast-to-coast, often stretching back for generations.
So
whether you’re on your own, have a family, or run a company, let’s talk about
your future. We’re New York Life, the Company You Keep®. And we look forward to
showing you all the reasons why.
We’re
a Fortune 100 company headquartered in New York, but you’ll find us at work in
all 50 states—plus Mexico—thanks to our network of more than 10,000 employees
and 12,250 licensed agents. From life insurance, to retirement planning, to
smart investment solutions, our network of agents offers our clients knowledge
and tools for enhancing their lives. We offer our products and services through
three major business areas:

Group
We
offer life insurance for individuals and families at every income level and
stage of life, primarily through our career agents. This could mean Term Life
Insurance for a young family just starting out or Whole Life Insurance for a
couple planning their future. We also offer Long-Term Care Insurance for those
who want to be prepared in the event they need assisted care. For companies of
all sizes, we offer Corporate Life Insurance (COLI) and Bank-Owned Life
Insurance (BOLI), which protect businesses in the event that a senior executive
is lost. We work with AARP to offer life insurance and annuities to their
members. Our Group Membership division is the largest underwriter of
professional association insurance programs in the US, covering more than 500
associations.
Investments
Group
We
provide a broad base of investments to help you save for your retirement and
products to turn your savings into income streams that will last a lifetime. We
also serve retail and institutional clients and manage the New York Life
general account, making sure that our investments support our ability to make
good on the promises made by our insurance and annuity products, which are sold
primarily through our career agents and through third parties such as brokers
